We bring the RCAS mission to life through a vibrant, in-person learning community where students from Preschool through Grade 12 engage in rigorous academics, competitive athletics, and the fine arts. At RCA, we are dedicated to fostering a safe and nurturing environment where classroom excellence and spiritual mentorship prepare students to lead and serve with integrity. Reports to: Principal Overview: The Teacher must be a dedicated, passionate, and adaptable educator who creates a nurturing, stimulating, and Christ-centered learning environment. Operating at a 0.5 FTE capacity, the initial assignment will be responsible for fostering the academic, spiritual, and social development of Grade 7 students, with a specific focus on core curriculum areas such as Math and English, while supporting students through a pivotal transitional school year. Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies:·        Instructional Excellence: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Grade 7 that align with the BC Ministry of Education’s standards and a Biblical worldview. Target core subjects (Math/English) to drive academic growth and critical thinking. ·        Classroom Culture & Management: Create a safe, positive, and stimulating environment that encourages student participation, models servant leadership, and addresses the unique social-emotional needs of Grade 7 students. ·        Assessment & Support: Evaluate student progress through diverse methods and provide individualized support to ensure every child reaches their learning goals. ·        0.5 FTE Collaboration: Work effectively and communicate seamlessly with parents, students, and colleagues. Qualified candidates who meet these criteria are encouraged to apply. Requirements & Qualifications:·        Certification: BC Teaching Certificate (Preferred). ·        Education: BA Degree in Education (or equivalent) with a relevant specialty or experience teaching middle-school aged children (Grade 6–9). ·        Skills: Proficiency in Math and English instruction, strong classroom management, and familiarity with office software for administrative tasks. ·        Spiritual Alignment: A deep understanding of a Christian and Biblical worldview, a commitment to Christian Education, and active participation in a Christian church community. ·        Relational Attributes: Friendly, even-tempered, optimistic, and a servant-hearted team player.
