Grade 7,8 and 9 Science Teacher with Grade 8 Homeroom

O'Chiese Education Authority is currently accepting applications for one Grade 7,8 and 9 Science Teacher with Grade 8 Homeroom for the 2027/2028 school year.The applicant will have:a background highly specialized in Junior High teaching strategiesstrong classroom managementan understanding of the inquiry modelbe willing to incorporate Indigenous Ways of Knowing and land-based activities into Science lessons an ability to build rapport with students in multiple classesexperience working with a diverse set of student needs and providing appropriate programming for those studentsthe ability to differentiate instructionthe ability to work as a team with Educational Assistants and other staff membersOur school has approximately 240 students from K-12, 18 teaching staff, and 17 support staff. Our school offers traditional Saulteaux language and land-based classes to students. Our community is located in the foothills with a beautiful scenic view of the Canadian Rockies, close to local parks, within a 45-minute drive of Rocky Mountain House and approximately 2.5 hour drive to Banff, Jasper, Calgary and Edmonton.
