St Vrain Valley School District is accepting applications for the following position(s): Kindergarten Teacher School Year: 2026-2027 Location: Soaring Heights PK-8 Summary: Create a flexible program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish an effective rapport with pupils; motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good educational background in accordance with each pupil’s ability; and establish a good relationship with parents and other staff. Education, Licenses & Experience: ? Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.? Three or more years of successful classroom teaching experience preferred.? Valid Colorado Teaching Certificate in Education with endorsement in the area of assignment.? Criminal background check is required for hire. Technical, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: ? Excellent interpersonal relations skills and strong oral and written communication skills.? Strong knowledge in the areas of instruction, classroom management and discipline, positive behavior support andeffective instructional strategies.? Knowledge of the federal, state, and local legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures that mandate and guideeducation.? Ability to work with students with diverse backgrounds and abilities.? Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent policies, and building and departmentprocedures.? Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverseethnic and educational backgrounds.? Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practise safe work habits, utilizeappropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.? Ability and willingness to adhere to attendance requirements and to follow district procedures for absence reporting.Regular attendance is an essential function of the position and necessary for the efficient operation of the business.Employees are expected to be on time and punctual for work, conforming to established work hours. It is recognized that there are times when a person must be absent due to illness or other reasons.
