Frontier School Division Invites Applications For The Following Position   Position: Mental Wellness WorkerLocation: Area 2 Office – Dauphin, ManitobaStart Date: September 8, 2026FTE: 1.00 FTE Term of Employment: PermanentApplication Deadline: Open Until Filled            ABOUT THE POSITIONReporting to the Area Superintendent, and with the leadership and direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services and Wellness and the Divisional Wellness Coordinator, the Mental Wellness Worker will work as a member a multi-disciplinary team within the Student Services and Wellness Department of Frontier School Division. This role will work closely with students, school support teams, families and external partners to support the needs of through the provision of direct clinical services, consultation and professional and public education. WHAT YOU'LL DO•       Provide individual case work, group work, family supports and/or consultation depending on the individual student or school to foster student mental health and wellness from a holistic lens.•       Act as link between the student, school support team, external agencies and families.•       Plan, support and program for students from a proactive, student-centred and strength-based lens.•       Assist school teams with crisis response supports and resources while closely collaborating with local community and Divisional resources. WHAT WE OFFER•       Highly competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you both professionally and personally.•       Transportation and relocation expense reimbursement to ensure a smooth transition•       Subsidized housing or a housing allowance.•       Isolation allowance•       Annual travel reimbursement•       Allowances for approved courses•       Additional supports that recognize the importance of work-life balance and continuous growth. •       All of the above, and more, are provided in accordance with the Provincial Manitoba Teachers’ Collective Agreement, including the Frontier School Division addendum. WHAT YOU BRING•       Bachelor or Master’s degree in Social Work and in possession of or eligible for a Manitoba School Clinician certificate.•       Current registration in good standing with an appropriate licensing body required.•       Extensive experience with providing both individual and group counselling, including crisis intervention and trauma-informed practices.•       Experience with case consultation, assessments, and interventions to support mental wellness.•       Strong knowledge of First Nation and Indigenous Ways of Knowing, Being and Doing.•       Experience and demonstrated competence working with multidisciplinary and/or interdisciplinary teams.•       Ability to collaborate with internal and external service providers to provide services to students, families and school communities.•       Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act, CFS Act, Vulnerable Persons Legislation, etc.•       Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.•       Proven ability to research, develop and deliver innovative programming and supports for students and school communities.•       Ability to prioritize, structure and manage scheduling caseload(s) effectively to achieve targeted outcomes.•       Valid Manitoba driver’s license and ability to travel, including overnight and flexible work hours as necessary.
