The successful candidate will provide comprehensive guidance and counselling services to students, supporting their personal, social, educational, and career development.  ABOUT THE COMMUNITYWanipigow School is a modern well-equipped Nursery to Grade 12 school with 291 students located in the community of Hollow Water nestled on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, a two-hour drive northeast of Winnipeg.  The beautiful surrounding area features an abundance of canoe routes, fishing spots and in the winter cross-country ski trails.  WHAT WE OFFER•       Highly competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you both professionally and personally.•       Transportation and relocation expense reimbursement to ensure a smooth transition•       Subsidized housing or a housing allowance.•       Isolation allowance•       Annual travel reimbursement•       Allowances for approved courses•       Additional supports that recognize the importance of work-life balance and continuous growth. •       All of the above, and more, are provided in accordance with the Provincial Manitoba Teachers’ Collective Agreement, including the Frontier School Division addendum.  WHAT YOU BRING•       Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Professional Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for) and completion of an approved Post-Baccalaureate Diploma or Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in school counselling, or enrolled in and working toward the completion of such program.•       Strong understanding of the developmental, social, and emotional needs of students.•       Strong understanding and experience with supporting students’ academic planning and career exploration.•       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.•       Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to support student needs.•       Ability to work collaboratively with school and divisional staff, families, and community partners.•       Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive school environment.•       Strong understanding of Indigenous Ways of Knowing, Being and Doing.•       Understanding of provincial documents such as the Manitoba Sourcebook for School Guidance and Counselling Services, Mamàhtawisiwin: The Wonder We are Born With, and Framework for Learning.
