O'Chiese Education Authority is currently accepting applications for one Grade 6 Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. The applicant will have:strong classroom managementbe trauma informedunderstanding of Tier 1, 2 and 3 teachingknowledge of the UFLI programknowledge of the SRSD programbe able to use student data to inform planningknowledge of effective numeracy practices such as spiral reviewknowledge of Indigenous Ways of Knowing and being willing to integrate O’Chiese language and cultural protocols into the classroom. experience working with a diverse set of student needs and providing appropriate programming for those studentsthe ability to differentiate instruction Our school has approximately 240 students from K-12, 18 teaching staff, and 17 support staff. Our school offers traditional Saulteaux language and land-based classes to students. Our community is located in the foothills with a beautiful scenic view of the Canadian Rockies, close to local parks, within a 45-minute drive of Rocky Mountain House and approximately 2.5 hour drive to Banff, Jasper, Calgary and Edmonton.
