Educational Technician (Bilingual)

Summary About the Position: This position serves as an Educational Technician (Bilingual) with the Western Hemisphere institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC). Management may select at any of the grade levels announced. This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to the target grade of the position without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management. Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.Major Duties: Complete and submit within deadlines, any required copyright supporting documents Maintain current collection of copyright reference resources Conduct in-depth research, as needed, to determine legal owner of copyright material(s) using various databases and resources. Perform Academic, Training, and Administrative Management Support duties. Coordinate with course directors to determine support and co-curricular requirements such as books, videos, and space for resident sessions, and video-teleconferences. Process committee nominations, appointments, and completion of all federally mandated disclosure documents. Perform Systems Automation tasks such as developing archives of student information, student folders, policies and procedures for the class, books, statistical data and reports. Maintain currency with all relevant software applications and college-wide learning management systems.
