To obtain more information on the ECFNEA please visit our website at https://www.ecfnep.ca/This position is located on the First Nation Community of James Smith Cree Nation with duties expected to commence for during the fall of 2026 – 2027.  Position Title & Job Details: Accounts Payable ClerkQualifications: Diploma in accounting preferred or business administration certificateMinimum of 2- 3 years’ experience Key Responsibilities:Duties and responsibilities:• Completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving processing, verifying and reconciling invoices• Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balance• Ensuring outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are due• Paying employees by receiving and verifying expense reports using Sage Accpac accounting software• Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions• Maintaining historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and cheques by filing documents properly• Entering journal entries from deposits, wire transfers or other electronic deposits• Completing Payroll on a by-weekly basis.  Skills and qualifications:• Ability to use company level financial record-keeping software systems, spreadsheets and email applications• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Ability to complete a high volume of work within deadlines• Excellent organizational and time management skills• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills• Good problem-solving skills• Excellent knowledge of basic accounting concepts• Strong attention to detail. This position will be under the supervision of the Finance Manager. Salary and Benefits Salary/Wages commensurate with credentials and experience.
