Yellowknife Catholic Schoolsinvites qualified applicants for a:Literacy Support TeacherÉcole St. Joseph SchoolStart date : August 2026 We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Literacy Support Teacher to help students strengthen their literacy skills and thrive in a learning environment. The PositionThis position reports to the Principal. As a Literacy Support Teacher, you will assist students in developing strong reading, writing, and communication skills in English. Responsibilities include providing targeted small-group and one-on-one instruction, supporting classroom teachers with literacy strategies, and helping to assess student progress in both language proficiency and comprehension. You will support other teachers in delivering quality literacy instruction. Part of this involves co-teaching, and supporting new teachers. You will also work to promote a love of reading in English, create engaging literacy activities, and collaborate with staff to ensure students meet academic benchmarks while fostering confidence in their language abilities.Our DistrictYellowknife Catholic Schools has been providing quality publicly funded education to northern students for over sixty-five years.
