POSITION:TEACHER - AUTOMOBILE MECHANICS (PROGRAM 5798)DEPARTMENT:ADULT EDUCATION AND VOCATIONAL TRAININGSALARY:FROM $54,119 TO $105,432 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSCOMPETITION NUMBER:TEACHAEVTAM2607-05LOCATION:KangiqsujuaqSTATUS:CONTRACTUAL 400 HOURSDURATION:  AUGUST TO DECEMBER 2026 (WITH A POSSIBILITY OF RENEWAL) Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.   Would you like to join us for a unique and rewarding experience?     The following positions are currently available:   Language of InstructionSubjectLocationEnglishAutomobile MechanicsKangiqsujuaq   LESSONS TAUGHT: ·         Maintenance and mechanical repairs to any part of the motor vehicle  ·         Develop diagnostic capabilities and understand how to identify and fix problems ·         Major automotive systems including Power Trains, Brakes, Internal Combustion Engines, Electricity and Supply Systems, and Metrology.   The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualification requirements if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board   REQUIREMENTS: ·         Fluency in two (2) of the three (3) official languages of KI (Inuktitut, English and French); ·         Experience in adult education, and; ·         Experience in multi-level classes.   ASSETS:  ·         Knowledge and teaching of the MEES programs. ·         Experience in teaching English and French as a second language. ·         Knowledge of the Moodle platform.   CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS: Salary & benefits as per the Teachers Collective Agreement of the Board: from $54,119 to $105,432 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
