Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Principal, the Shop (IA) Teacher / Practical and Applied Arts Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on learning experiences for Grades 10–12 students. The teacher develops and delivers Saskatchewan Practical and Applied Arts (PAA) curriculum while integrating Cree culture, land-based learning, career education, workplace safety, and skilled trades pathways. The position promotes student engagement, graduation, and successful transition to apprenticeships, post-secondary education, and employment.Key Responsibilities·       Plan and deliver PAA courses including woodworking, construction, carpentry, mechanics, fabrication, and other approved trades.·       Maintain a safe, organized, and well-equipped industrial arts shop.·       Teach and enforce WHMIS, OH&S, tool and equipment safety.·       Assess student achievement using Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes.·       Develop partnerships with local employers, apprenticeships, SIIT and Indigenous Services Canada initiatives.·       Support experiential, land-based, and culturally responsive learning.·       Maintain lesson plans, inventories, attendance, and student records.·       Participate in school improvement, extracurricular activities, and community events.Qualifications:- preferrence for a valid Sask. Professional A certificate- training or experiencne in industrial arts, practical and applied arts or journeyman status in of the followin trades:  carpentry, construction, weldling, mechanics, plumbing or another trade Need the right person to prepare students for a future in the trades.
