OPASKWAYAK EDUCATION SERVICES INC.REQUIRES Network Technology CoordinatorIn/External Job AdFull-time permanen Purpose of Job:The purpose of a Network Technology Coordinator is to plan, coordinate, maintain, and improve an organization's computer networks and technology systems to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient communication and data access with Opaskwayak Education Services Inc., which includes Joe A. Ross, Oscar Lathlin Collegiate, Employment & Training, Hilda Young Child Care Centre, Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Post-Secondary Program. Qualifications:· Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in: Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Network Administration, Information System, or Computer Engineering or related field.· Experience with Local Area Networks, Wireless networking technologies, Network security and cybersecurity practices, Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, Microsoft Windows Server 2022 and Active Directory, Cloud Services (Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, Virtualization technologies, Backup and disaster recovery systems.· Knowledge of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls, Routers, switches, and network hardware, Cybersecurity standards and best practices.· Knowledge of: Power School, Cisco Phone Systems, EIS, ADP, VMWare, Fortinet· 3 to 5 years of experience in network administration, IT support, or network operations.· Experience managing enterprise network infrastructure and supporting end users.· Experience with technology implementation, upgrades, and system maintenance. Duties and Responsibilities:· Create new emails for new onboarding staff email and deleting emails when offboarding.· Keep inventory of all assets.· Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applications. Order new IT equipment as needed and ensure IT hardware is in good working order.· Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to coordinate access and use of computer networks.· Provide problem-solving services to network users.· Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records.· Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.· Conduct tests and perform security and quality controls.· Perform shell scripting or other basic scripting tasks.· May supervise other workers within the department.· Must be able to work under pressure, and in a respectful and ethical conduct.· Must have troubleshooting and problem- solving skills.· Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.· Must negotiate contract terms and pricing with vendors and technology suppliers.· This role will require candidates to deliver support services in a variety of technical disciplines, while operating with established best practices, standards and expectations.
