TEACHER required for 2026-2027The role of the teacher is to enable students to achieve the learning expectations outlined in the Alberta Program of Studies by providing instruction and fostering learning.Skills:Use his/her professional knowledge and experience to determine how to deliver instruction to studentsSelect and implement appropriate instructional methods and resources for studentsRegularly assess, evaluate and report on student progressMaintain accurate recordsWork closely with and supervise Educational Assistants in the classroomLong range, weekly and daily lesson plans specific to the assigned grade level(s)Assist with Individual Program Plans (IPP's) with the support of the Inclusive Education Teacher, parents and service providers.Maintain a positive student-parent-teacher relationshipExcellent classroom management skillsPossess excellent computer, Smartboard, written & communication skills Follow assigned supervision schedulesKnowledge of Cree culture & language would be an assetQualifications:Valid Alberta Teacher CertificateClean Criminal Record & Child Welfare ChecksPlease forward cover letter & resume to:Elaine Boucher, Principal, Amisk Community Schoolelaine.boucher@tcef.ca Telephone: 780-623-4561
