Our academic programming and wrap-around supports are aligned with the Longhouse Values of the Host Nations.  Position Summary: The instructor will report to the Indigenous Early Childhood Education Program Manager regarding student progress and course delivery.  The instructor is required to provide student support, and to assist with practicum, curriculum development, and planning, including online Moodle development and other duties as assigned. For a list of IECE courses, go to www.necvancouver.org.  Qualifications: Any combination of education and work experience as follows will be considered. • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred); or • A certificate, diploma, or degree in a related discipline, combined with at least two years of related work experience and a minimum of 10 years of occupational experience relevant to the course(s) being taught. • Ability and willingness to facilitate courses in a community-based Indigenous Early Childhood Education (IECE) program located in the Fraser Valley. • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and computer skills. • Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous values, cultures, communities, and teaching methodologies, with experience working with Indigenous organizations and Indigenous adult learners. • Knowledge of assessment for learning and assessment of learning from an Indigenous perspective. • Demonstrated proficiency in using Moodle or other learning management systems, with Moodle experience considered essential. • Experience in curriculum development, course design, and lesson planning.
