Our academic programming and wrap-around supports are aligned with the Longhouse Values of the Host Nations. Position Summary: The Dean of Continuing Education provides operational leadership for NEC’s continuing education and workforce training programs. Working under the strategic direction of the Vice President, the Dean ensures approved programs are delivered effectively, meet community and labor-market needs, and align with NEC’s institutional priorities and Longhouse values Qualifications: • Master’s degree in Adult Education, Continuing Education, Indigenous Studies, or a related field. • Senior-level experience in program delivery, workforce training, continuing education, or similar operational leadership roles. • Demonstrated strength in operational planning, program management, and overseeing complex learning initiatives. • Experience coordinating partnerships, community-based initiatives, and collaborative projects. • Proven experience supervising staff and supporting teams, preferably within a unionized environment. • Strong understanding of Indigenous communities, cultural contexts, and approaches that support culturally grounded program delivery. • Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and organizational capacity. • Experience in post-secondary or non-profit environments is an asset. • Ability to pass a criminal record check.
