Ross SchoolExternal Job PostingCustodian – Full Time Permanent  Purpose of Job:The custodian is in charge of cleaning and sanitizing the washrooms, classrooms and common areas of the Joe A. Ross School. QUALIFICATIONS,• High School Diploma or equivalent.• Must have WHMIS and Global Harmonization System (GHS).• Experience in using cleaning supplies and cleaning machines (vacuums, strippers, etc.) is a must.• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and mixing of chemicals is emphasized.• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.• Ability to speak Cree is an asset. Responsibilites:• Sweeping, washing, and vacuuming the floors of the school.• Clean windows of the classroom and wash the entrance doors.• Dust the ceiling fixtures and clean the chalkboards of the classrooms.• Wash the desks, chairs and counters of the classrooms.• Empty all garbage cans.• Clean school washrooms thoroughly.• Clean the gymnasium floor, waxing floor when necessary.• Wax floors in the hallways and classrooms when necessary.• Weakly tasks of washing rugs, washing the walls in hallways and door entrances, and laundry.• Attend monthly staff meetings. Deadline: August 14, 2026 @ 4:30 p.m.
