The school serves approximately 130 students, Junior Kindergarten to Grade 11. Kingfisher Lake is a fly-in community in Northern Ontario. JOB RESPONSIBILITIESWe are seeking motivated and caring Secondary Teachers to manage and educate students in a dynamic learning environment. This role involves guiding students through their spiritual and academic learning by responding to their questions, grading assignments, hosting group sessions, and creating engaging student-centered content. The incumbents will also proactively reach out to students needing additional support, utilizing written communication, phone calls, and video/screen-sharing sessions to ensure their success.·       Manage and educate students in a digital environment.·       Facilitate students’ learning in 13·       Adhere to the established curriculum and timeline.·       Develop or locate additional teaching material when needed.·       Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, peers, and supervisors.·       Maintain cordial relationships with students within appropriate boundaries.QUALIFICATIONS ·       Registered with Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)  ·       Certified by an accredited University (BA/BED/Teacher training program)  ·       Aware of cutting-edge research-based teaching strategies in the areas of English, Visual Arts, Social Studies, Geography and Physical Education·       Working knowledge of the Universal Design for Learning and Differentiated Instruction ·       Knowledge of the three types of assessment and ability to work with students at various levels of achievement  ·       Proven classroom management skills  ·       Previous experience teaching in multi-grade classrooms·       Flexibility in teaching more than one subject   ·       Excellent computer and technology skills to support teacher instruction and student learning in the classroom  ·       Knowledge of and willingness to write, revise, edit and apply Individual Education Plans ·       Experience teaching or knowledge in a First Nation Operated School.
