STEM K-8 ESL Teacher

The School District of Waukesha invites applications for the following position: ESL - STEM K-8 Teacher (50% FTE) Location: Waukesha STEM Academy Description: The Waukesha STEM Academy is a kindergarten through eighth grade Personalized, Project-Based Learning school, where students are encouraged to think outside of the box and are given the opportunity to demonstrate their learning in many different ways. Students are supported in developing a sense of independence and intrinsic values, which enable them to become successful in life. We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time (50% FTE) ESL teacher (Spanish proficiency preferred) to join the K-8 team to grow practices for disciplinary literacy and inquiry-based learning. The dedicated professional in this role will join a department of colleagues who serve English language learners in the content area and through sheltered instruction. Ability to utilize data to meet individual student needs as well as familiarity with the WIDA products.
