Speech/Language Pathologist Assistant

Gilbert Public Schools invites applications for the following position: Speech/Language Pathologist Assistant Location: Special Education Department Date Available: 10/19/2026 Purpose Statement: The job of Speech Language Pathologist Assistant is done for the purpose/s of providing speech-language therapy for students with communication disorders in order to meet individual student goals under the direct supervision of a speech-language pathologist. Essential Functions: Assists Speech Language Pathologists for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work responsibilities.Provides direct therapy to students in accordance with the individualized plans written by and under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist.Prepares a wide variety of written materials (e.g. student data, billing records, and progress reports) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information to others.Presents information to the supervising speech-language pathologist regarding student progress in order to assist them in developing future program planning for the student. Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in job related area. Certificates: Must possess a valid Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card while employed. Department of Health Services SLPA certificate Experience: Job-related experience is required.
