RossExternal Job PostingSecurity Guard Purpose of Job:To help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming learning environment for students, staff, visitors, and community members. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring school premises, responding to incidents, and supporting emergency preparedness and safety initiatives. Qualifications:• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.• Valid Security Guard License or willing to obtain through Opaskwayak Education Services Inc.• First Aid and CPR Certification is considered an asset.• Successful Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check is required. Responsibilities:• Monitor and patrol school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and entrances.• Control access to school property and verify visitor identification.• Respond to security concerns, incidents, emergencies, and safety hazards.• Assist with student supervision during arrival, dismissal, breaks, and special events.• Prepare detailed incident and security reports.• Monitor security cameras and alarm systems.• Enforce school policies and procedures in a professional and respectful manner.• Coordinate with school administration, emergency services, and local law enforcement when required.• Investigate and report suspicious activity, property damage, or safety concerns.• Use ADP.• Other duties as assigned per job scope.  Deadline: September 11, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.
