 Employment Opportunity          Sports Academy Coordinator          Full-time Employment Opportunity The East Central First Nations Education Authority (ECFNEA) is committed to providing the highest quality of Educational Services by our people to our people, for our people.  The ECFNEA’s facilities include the Bernard Constant Community School (BCCS) located on James Smith Cree Nation (JSCN) with a sub-office in Nipawin, Saskatchewan.A Sports Academy Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end planning, implementation, and management of sporting activities within BCCS. The Sports Academy Coordinator acts as the bridge between the organization’s goals and the participants' needs, ensuring activities are safe, inclusive, and well-attended. The Sports Academy Coordinator provides overall leadership and strategic direction for BCCS athletic program, promotes a culture of sportsmanship, integrity, and academic excellence, aligns athletics with BCCS school’s mission and educational values. Sports Academy Coordinator fosters school spirit and community engagement through sports.Position Title: Sports Academy Coordinator Program Development: ·       Research community needs and designing diverse activities (e.g., sports, youth sports camps)·       Oversee all interscholastic athletic teams and extracurricular sports·       Develop seasonal schedules and coordinate league participation·       Ensure compliance with provincial athletic association policies  ·       Evaluate and improve athletic programming annually·       Align sports academy objectives are weaved into daily physical education instruction·       Support ECFNEA and BCCS SOP’s documents and keeps accurate data collection·       Fulfill the ECFNEA policy of two void when necessary      Staff & Volunteer Management: ·       Recruit volunteers·       Organize coaches’ training Facility Coordination: ·       Manage bookings·       Oversee routine maintenance·       Ensure gym facilities are safe and clean·       Oversee maintenance and scheduling of athletic facilities·       Ensure safety standards and risk management protocols are followed·       Coordinate transportation and food, for teams·       Maintain emergency action plans. Administrative Tasks: ·     Manage program budgets·     Track attendance·     Prepare reports/grant applications.·     Maintain accurate records of athletes, teams, and results·     Prepare regular reports for BCCS administration and ECFNEA.·     Adhere to health and safety regulations Communication: ·       Promote activities through social media, newsletters, and local outreach to boost engagement.·       Serve as liaison between school administration, parents, and interagency community organizations·       Communicate schedules, updates, and policies effectively·       Represent the school at league meetings and community events·       Build partnerships with local sponsors and organizations.Qualification Requirements.·       Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Recreation Management or related experience.·       Certifications: Must have current Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.·       Essential Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, ability to manage priorities, and able to work with other schools and organizations.·       Must have a valid Driver’s License. Salary and BenefitsSalary/Wages are commensurate with experience.Extended health benefits, vacation or holiday pay, and personal/sick leave may be available depending on contract terms.
