We are one of Manitoba’s Top Employers and offer a generous Total Compensation Package with health benefits, a great pension plan along with the opportunity for personal and professional growth including tuition waivers.DUTIES:Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Communications & Recruitment, the Administrative Assistant provides confidential administrative support to the Director and the office of Marketing, Communications & Recruitment This role coordinates daily office operations and supports departmental priorities by managing schedules and workflow; preparing correspondence, meeting materials and other documentation; coordinating meetings, events and travel; monitoring budgets and expenses; maintaining electronic files, supplies, equipment and marketing inventory; supporting employee onboarding and leave administration; and coordinating sponsorship, donation and booth-rental requests. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Office Assistant Certificate; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered• Experience working in an Administrative role in a professional office environment• Experience coordinating, scheduling meetings and travel arrangements• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, Teams and other virtual communication tools and office technologies• Experience with financial management responsibilities, including monitoring and tracking budget expenditures• File management experience• Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, remain flexible and meet deadlines• Strong organizational and time-management skills• Effective critical thinking and problem solving skills• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage sensitive information• Commitment to life-long learning ASSETS: • Experience working in a post-secondary environment• Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures Conditions of Employment:• Candidates must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada• Valid Class 5 driver’s license as travel may be required• Must be able to work evening and weekends when required Applicants are asked to provide a cover letter and resume with their application.
