The Bookstore Clerk delivers front-line customer service to students, staff, industry partners, and the public while coordinating textbook and supply ordering, inventory control, point-of-sale transactions, cashier services, and financial reporting. The incumbent ensures textbooks and supplies are available across campuses and regional centres, maintains accurate records, reconciles cash and sales reports, and supports enrolment and payment processes in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Office Assistant Certificate, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered• Experience working in a retail or bookstore environment, including customer service, cash handling, and administrative tasks• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.• Ability to perform clerical duties including data entry and cash reconciliation with a high degree of accuracy• Effective time management skills• Experience with point-of-sale systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office or similar applications• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment while managing multiple requests and interruptions.• Commitment to life-long learning ASSETS:• Knowledge of visual merchandising standards and retail presentation techniques• Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures Conditions of Employment:• Candidates must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada Applicants are asked to provide a cover letter and resume with their application.
