You will operate with flexibility, agility, and adaptability in a changing and challenging environment. If you are passionate about affecting student outcomes through education and want to be involved in shaping the future of the MEA, we invite you to apply for the Adult 12 Teacher position as outlined below: Adult 12 TeacherThis position reports into the Principal and Vice Principal and will be responsible in implementing the school programs in accordance with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education guidelines whereby leading the school towards a common vision of learning excellence. Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher’s Certificate.A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is required.Knowledge and experience applying best practices in the areas of instruction, curriculum, assessment and adult education.Knowledge of First Nations, Metis and Inuit languages, histories and cultures. Required Skills and Abilities:Strong interpersonal, and communication skills – both verbal and written.Strong commitment to the school, community and safe school concept.Focus on student engagement, teacher relationships, voice and experience.Demonstrate a history of positive relations with students, parents, and staff.Strong classroom management skills, ability to teach students with varying abilities, use of technology and awareness of land-based practices is an asset.Contribute to the positive image of the school and Cumberland House Cree Nation.Establish and maintain links with the community, and external partners.Create an atmosphere of innovation, teamwork, and creativity within the team.·       Use a variety of strategies to meet individual needs of students and increase parent engagement.·       Uphold STFs Code of Conduct, provide appropriate consequences and contact parents when required.·       Satisfactory criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
