Educational Aide (Prekindergarten)

Summary About the Position: Located within the Pacific East School District at M.C. Perry Primary School in Iwakuni, Japan. Candidates must reside within the commuting area. Local commuting area is defined as the geographic area surrounding a work site that encompasses the localities where people live and reasonably can be expected to travel back and forth daily to work based on the generally held expectations of the local community. (5 CFR 575.203). Position is not covered by a bargaining unit. Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA), as one of only two Federally-operated school systems, is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing prekindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Department of War (DoW). Participle in all home visits and school related meetings. Support educational efforts in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom and general education classroom as needed. Work with students in accordance with plans developed by the specialist and educator. Monitor students during various phases of school day, Provide assistance in toileting, feeding, eating and personal hygiene.
