Training Technician

Summary About the Position: Located in Walter Reed National Military Medical Center with the Directorate for Education, Training, and Research in the Department of Hospital Education and Training in Bethesda, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Through a robust healthcare delivery system, and a dedicated team of inspired professionals, the Agency ensures the worldwide delivery of medical, dental, and pharmacy programs to more than 9.5 million uniformed service members, retirees, and their families, by improving health and building readiness Anytime, Anywhere-Always.Major Duties: Manages and supervises the use of the Room Reservation Tool for scheduling conferences, seminars, classes and ceremonies. Prepares quarterly and yearly Room Reservation Statistic Reports of usage. Provides guidance and assistance to training program enrollees seeking to develop their full potential. Develops policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to room reservations. Facilitates the enrollment of Executive Health Care Providers, Physicians, Dentist, Nurses, Interns and Corpsmen for Operational Medicine Courses and makes schedules for these courses available as soon as they are provided. Reviews and processes Command and Department notices and instructions for conformance to DoD regulations, grammar and format and special policies of the Command and the Professional Education Directorate. Advises managers and staff of military career education programs sponsored by the command as it relates to the best location/classroom setup for the organization.
