Fine Arts Director

Fort Bend Independent School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Fine Arts Director School Year: 2026-2027 Location: Department Job Overview: The Director of Fine Arts directs and manages the district's fine arts department. The Director ensures that the development and delivery of the fine arts curriculum and instructional program are effective and efficient, incorporate district goals, and support student achievement. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Master's degree in educationValid Teaching Certification Issued by the Texas Education Agency appropriate to the subject and grade level of the assignment in music, art, dance, or theatre certificateValid Texas Mid-Management or Principal CertificationMinimum of 5 years of fine arts instruction (music, art, dance or theatre)Minimum of 2 years of fine arts leadership experienceProven experience developing and implementing curriculum, instruction and assessmentsDemonstrated understanding of best practices regarding the written, taught, & tested curriculumExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing
